Old Boston

So off we set on the 'Freedom Trail', a walk that takes in most of the historic landmarks and seeks to tell the story of the revolution against the nasty Brits.  Instead of starting in the centre and walking out to Bunker Hill, we decided it might be less crowded if we did it in reverse... which proved to be a wise move, judging by all the people we met going the other way!

This picture is inside  Old North Church, apparently the oldest church in Boston, it played a key part in the history of the revolution (read the link for more info).   It also provided a cool and calm refuge for weary travellers such as us.

The trail was supposed to take about 2-3 hours, but we spent all day including detours, and stops to take pictures!

To round it all off we went to find another historical site - the  "Cheers" bar!

Extras:
Bunker Hill Monument,
Resting Balloon sellers,
Old town street
