Apfel strudel, in a test run for a 5am version to go with Eurovision tomorrow. Everything is ready, so it just has to be assembled and baked. Mmmm. I considers baking it early, but soggy strudel just isn't as good.
I went to see Mad Max: Fury Road this evening. It was quite a lot of apocalyptic fun. Perhaps a little trimming would have been good, a few bits almost dragged, but overall it was incredibly inventive and amazing to look at. There was one of those cinema moments near the beginning, when tense stuff has been happening, then the screen cuts to black and silence for a second. The fairly full screen took a collective breath at that moment, as we were given a brief reprieve. Those are the moments that make it worth paying all that money to get in.
Good to hear some Aussie accents getting a go as general extras, rather than the token Australian, and it's always fun to wonder what people will think some of the slang means. I haven't seen the other Mad Max films for years, but will definitely have to revisit them now. Although this one was more about Furiosa (Charlize Theron's character) than Max in a lot of ways.
