VIP visitor!
It was a day for breakfast outside in the warm sunshine. Then a flurry of activity - light weeding, shed tidying and re-cleaning of very smudgy windows. It looks very easy when those whistling window cleaning chaps do it - and I've stood and watched them many a time - but actually it's almost impossible to get a window smudge free. There must be a knack.
We were honoured to have LadyG visit us! She fitted us into her busy Edinburgh blippers schedule. Cake, coffee and flat out chatterboxing. Time went so quickly - I didn't even have time to point out my clean windows. Though I did let her make her inspect my newly tidied shed.
And - surprise surprise - wee Archie (who can be a bit shy with new people and usually takes himself off to the kitchen) took a shine to LadyG. He hopped up beside her, snuggled in, and generally made himself at home. He has never done this with a visitor before. And no, it had nothing to do with cake - he put his head In her lap and dozed happily.
Emmi from yesterday texted to ask if she could take Archie out for a walk. Although we had planned to take him out ourselves this afternoon, I said OK. She's very keen. And I want him to get to know her.
BBQ No 2 this evening. Is this the start of summer? (Oh no! Now I've put a curse on the weather...)
