The gatecrasher
Not her, me I'm afraid!
I went to the wonderful old church of St Cross today, mainly to sit in its garden and walk by the river, only to find there was a wedding just about to finish and the start of another waiting to go in. So of course I hung around, especially as there were 2 alpenhorns about to strike up on the grass. I didn't realise, but apparently they have 35 weddings a year, all of them pretty posh affairs I guess.
Anyway, I stood around, as did other visitors, waiting for the first wedding to emerge. Of all the shots I took, this was my favourite: what an elegant woman in her swishy blue hat. She came through the doorway with such a happy smile, while in contrast the woman next to her struggled feverishly with the camera on her mobile. Now that has to be a comment on modern weddings.
Happy Saturday evening xx
