Lesconil, Penmarch

Explored around Penmarch today. Loved the various harbours and boats. While having a coffee at St Guenolé we were shown a set of storm photos from 2008 impressive/scary with flooding foam and massive waves. (We showed one of our pics and were offered the Storm photos in return.)

By the end of the day it was warm and sunny so we tried paddling in the sea on a beautiful white sand beach just past this harbour. Can see why even the kids did not go past their knees. However this sheltered bay had lots of kayakers, windsurfers, stand up paddleboarders, sail boats and a few motor boats. One serious swimmer went straight out possibly to his yacht.

My French is improving. I can now confidently ask for a coffee. What more do you need?
