In Guernsey

Very wet day. Guernsey has a strong sense of connection with The Queen, and it has been very quiet around here - people watching the events in London. Especially prepared for the Jubilee is the display of flags of every Commonwealth country on the memorial flagpole in St Peter Port.

I could have got tighter for a better shot - but I was only seconds out of the car in the deluge. The occasional visitors of the outdoor market traders from Normandy were truly soaked. Quelle domage!
