Bus to Bukit Lawang

Stef left early to catch a flight and I had a few hours to kill in Berastagi before my bus left at 2pm. There was only one other person on the bus so we had a row each with just enough room to lie down. Unfortunately the roads were so bad that it was impossible to get any sleep.

I arrived in Bukit Lawang at 7pm and walked 15 minutes in the rain and dark to my guesthouse. There was a power cut due to the storm so I had to check in to my room using the torch on my phone. I had some food in the restaurant (where they had lights from a generator) and had a relatively early night ready for a trek the next morning.
