Box Hill

I had an idea this morning that it would be good to go to Box Hill to see the view from there - unfortunately so did nearly every other person in Surrey, mainly cyclists. Since the Olympics I think the cycle up Box Hill has gained in popularity and it took ages to drive up to the top as there were so many cyclists, many cycling two or three abreast so it made passing impossible on the narrow and winding road. We had a bit of a walk around and there were so many people with those silly selfie sticks taking photos of the themselves with the view. Luke is working today and Adam is studying, Thomas is pottering about and so it is a quiet day. But we are about to be descended upon by a mass of teenagers (Adam's friends), as one of the local pubs is holding a 'music festival', and they are coming to our house first for a drink before walking to the pub. I think some of them are sleeping over so I will start blowing up the mattresses and getting the sleeping bags out.....and check that I have eggs and bacon rolls for breakfast.
