Jubilee

The long weekend was kicked off by the annual 'Art on the Railings' event, which provided excellent tat, cakes and fudge. I spent the afternoon driving my Dad's MG with Mum.. I love driving that car. It makes me feel close to Dad, and is so much fun to drive. We went to a meet of their MG club, which was a big step for Mum; I'm constantly astounded at how strong she is.

The cold and windy evening brought my first BBQ of the year with lots of old friends. We realised how old we are- BBQs used to be a mis-match of cheap frozen veggie sausages/cauliflower cheese grills, but now include multiple fancy salads, asparagus, halloumi...still loads of booze though, obviously the most important part.
