After the show ....

We had an excellent street party yesterday afternoon, plenty of food, drink and games with every house turning up and contributing in late afternoon sunshine.

This morning I went to the allotment and picked the first of our strawberries, about 10lbs worth. Not bad considering the weather we've had. Went on down to the coast at Cuckmere Haven where it was cold, wet and almost deserted. It didn't stop the spaniel from jumping straight into the sea. This deflated balloon seemed to sum up the post-Jubilee-back-to-work-tomorrow feeling.
