Porty People and Places
Running on the beach with a 1000 pieces of jigsaw shuggling in my rucksack was a novel way to start the day.
While taking this blip, on one of the iconic groynes, on Portobello Beach I became an object of curiosity to a local and her visiting cousin. I gave them three guesses. When I told them that this was my 1000 consecutive Blip, they conceded that they would have needed 1000 guesses to have come up with that answer!
We first completed this puzzle when we lived in Warsaw. It is an Austrian puzzle. It is a good way to remind us of the German spellings of all the countries in Europe.
As a staunch supporter of the European Union I hope there will still be a workable and recognisable EU by the time I reach my 2000th Blip?
Perhaps this box of jigsaw pieces foretells the potential fragmentation of 21st century Europe? I certainly hope not.
