Whovians
On Monday Robin and I had a great day out in Cardiff. The main purpose of the trip was to see the Dr Who Symphonic Spectacular at night, where the music of Dr Who was played by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the BBC National Chorus of Wales, with soprano Elin Manahan Thomas providing the vocals. For those of you who are not Whovians (fans of Dr Who) each Doctor has his own theme and many of the companions do too. There has even been a Christmas Carol composed for a special Christmas edition. The music is fabulous and we had a very enjoyable two hours of it with accompanying visuals on screen and daleks and cybermen gliding and stomping (respectively) up the aisles. We also took time to visit the Dr Who experience at Cardiff Bay (where much of the series is filmed) the experience was great with a really good museum of Tardis Interiors, costumes, sets and monsters. The best bit was that we also got to take part in our own Dr Who adventure with the twelfth doctor played by Peter Capaldi. I won't say more than that as I know you must all be itching to visit it yourself!
The blip is Robin outside the Millennium Centre.
