Wide Angle Wall
I noticed this wall today on a road I have driven many times, although not recently. No excuse for not seeing it though as the deterioration has clearly been going on for quite a while. I wanted to find a new texture in the environment to photograph but also wanted to use a wide angle to advertise tomorrow's wide angle theme of 'Opposites'.
Here you have the opposites of Near and Far. The wide angle view achieves the close up of the wall (and you do have to be close) whilst giving the impression of an extended background to show its context.
If you are concerned that you haven't got a dedicated Wide Angle lens, don't be put off. Use your camera without any zoom and you will have the widest angle your camera can do. Easy. Get close to something and include its background. Job done! Loads of 'opposites' around - email me if you want ideas. Otherwise I look forward to your contributions tomorrow. Tag widwed13.
Also, If you would like to host a Wide Angle Wednesday, Hobbs and I are looking for volunteers for the last two weeks in June, so get in touch with either of us. It is good to have new ideas from fresh people.
