Song Thrush on high

This is a bird you hear long before you see it?
   I could hear the familiar song.But instead of in among the trees or bushes.It was high up on the the High Cross of our old Ancient church  roof!.
Very proud and very confident in an area renowned for its Hawks and Buzzards.
  But it will live to sing another day.
 Beautiful bird.
