Station to station

In Aberdeen there are around 7 roads called Station road. This is down the bottom of the one in Woodside. It is an old dirt track that is situated beside some flats where once stood a sweetie factory.

There was a bit of a crisis in the household this morning. After I came out of the shower, June went to go into the bathroom, the door wouldn't open. It was as if the lock had put itself on. But seeing as it's a sliding bolt type of lock, that in itself seemed an impossibility. Despite putting my shoulder hard against it, the door wouldn't open.

So after June phoned her brother, who is a joiner, we unscrewed the handle and turned the spindle with some pliers.
Success. The spindle had slipped; but is now wedged in place and the door is functioning as it should.
