Unexpected Activities

After such a late night yesterday, the kids were tired this morning. The weather forecast was bad for later so we decided to take them to the playground to give them some fresh air before the rain! On the way there we were walking past Strawberry Hill House, and saw some Jubilee activities going on.

Popped in for a while... there was a very interesting stand with lots of old kaleidoscopes and a Camera Obscura, which we spent ages looking at... kids really fascinated by early moving pictures... a real history lesson!

This surprise visit to Strawberry Hill was the perfect end to a really great Jubilee weekend.
