Celebrations!

At last. Today we put down the paintbrushes and picked up the Champagne flutes.

After a fortnight of her house being disrupted The Mother can celebrate the completion of her new kitchen. The housing association refitted it completely: cabinets, worktops, tiles, flooring and lighting. All that was left for us was to put everything back in and paint the ceiling and walls.

All the upheaval has been a strain on her, at 84, but she is absolutely thrilled and there on the wall is one of my tulip blips, framed by Chippy.
