Dem Bones

I've recently been introduced to the world of the bone collector, and the macabre art of cleaning bones! I found this sheep skull on Islay, it was almost clean but not quite, so I looked up what to do - and of course the internet did not let me down. A site called Jake's Bones, written by an American kid (full of tips for not upsetting your mum with your bone-cleaning activities) told me what I needed to know.

So, after several hours of simmering with dilute hydrogen peroxide, and a couple of days drying in the bathroom, here it is, making my bookshelves look sinister...
