Carpets

Now is the time everyone takes their carpets onto their roofs to wash them. It's something I dread doing. Ydy the children and I started on 3 but then a family turned up to visit so the mum helped me. It was great! She's such an expert and she felt sorry for me the hopeless foreigner. It was the best time I've ever got to spend with this lady.

Just as we hung this carpet last night (I know it's ugly but we inherited it and at least it hides the dirt) a huge thunder/dust storm began- doh!

I've often been asked how we wash our carpets in UK when we don't have flat roofs. It made me wonder.
