Bee heaven
The bees, several different species, go mad on our Cotoneaster (? I get muddled with the other prickly one!), they buzz and feed from dawn to dusk. The shrub is not especially attractive growing out of our wall and I have frequently thought about cutting it out but then what would the bees do without it!
T is away working on another farm nearby. The lorry came from Devon to collect some corn this afternoon. A cow calved safely in the field and N fed the lame one and one other, and checked the beef cattle's water trough for leaks. It is such a relief silage is over for another year, the quantity was so good we have no need to do a second cut and the maize will fill the pit in the autumn.
