Conference and other fun stuff

After more than a year without working/thinking/writing, I was happy (and a bit anxious) to be back into work mode. I gave my paper in the morning while Olivier and Grandma hung out in a mall and took walks on the promenade. To celebrate his 10-month birthday, Olivier is apparently teething and battled a fever all day. So after such wonderful papers and discussions, I excused myself before the end of the conference and went back to my little boy. To be honest, I wasn't feeling so great either, grandma's cold seems to have hit me now... 

I had waited way too long to make travel arrangements so we had no hotel in the conference city for the night. So we drove about 90 minutes to another city where we had a rather early night. But before that, Olivier got mesmerized by the view.
