A rainy day in Cambridge.

It's been a horrid day here in Cambridge with shoppers packing into the big shopping centre in very large numbers. 

We had to pop into our local John Lewis store in order to purchase some travel essentials for our forthcoming holiday to France and the Italian Riviera but fortunately for us John Lewis is located inside the shopping centre so we were able to avoid the rain. 

We depart England via Folkestone on Sunday morning. We will spend two nights in a timber lodge near Puisieux in order to visit our unknown WW1 soldier and then we will drive South where will spend the next week travelling between Santa Margherita, Camogli and Portofino. 

It's all been rather frantic here getting ready in time. 

We need a break and are both getting rather excited! :-D
