Future Life, Failed?

One of many seed pods that were littered across the path the other day. I rescued a handful, for future blipping, and today turned out to be the damp day that they came in useful. The sky has been kindly watering the garden for most of the day, with just a quick break for a breather. I may return this to the outdoors and give it a chance to do its thing, or it may join my collection of retrieved bits of nature. I haven't yet decided.
