Tibouchina

It was very cold and windy today....Rumi and I had the whole beach to ourselves...it went on forever.

I had the choice of a dead fish, the empty beach, a cheeky parrot, a very strange fruit growing in a palm tree, a beautiful sunset, Flynn, a long view down the river or this common Tibouchina flower...........I chose this one (obviously)....... I was so happy ..... I have taken many pics of these but I have never been able to get the light right so that the color reads well.....always too blue or too much red in it....never before have I got this glorious purple.
