Another day.......

Another orchid!
I went back to Box hill today with Linda who showed me where the Man orchids Orchis anthropophora were growing, it seems I walked right by them the other day...silly me, I got that huge blister for nothing!!
The man orchid is so named because the flowers look like little naked men. They grow in grassland and scrub on chalk soils in scattered locations in the south east.
I got a new camera today, only a canon 600D but it is fab, so I am well pleased and even though it was second hand the shutter had only fired 19 times! (it's fired 500+ times now! - lol).
More extra's today, a pair of roosting common blues and a fab Roman snail Helix pomatia, which was huge!!
