Iron prominent moth
Moth trapping this year is abysmal, and I am still only catching one or two moths a night which is appalling for late May!
Luckily the one or two moths are often quite nice, like this beautiful newly hatched Iron prominent Notodonta dromedarius, a fairly common moth that once again feeds on silver birch.
I am off to Colchester for a mini break now, so watch this space!
