Old friends rule

I've had a fab day today with old friends galore.

First off was a lunch at Brasserie Blanc in St Albans with N and C who I worked with in Luton over 8 years ago. We get together about once a year and it was a lovely long lunch (I'm not the biggest fan of the food at BB though). We swapped a year's worth of news, both work wise and other. C is getting married later this summer, largely to secure pension rights so she said! I told them about B's death. C talked about her difficulties at work.

Then I headed down the road to London Colney to visit my old school friend C and her brood of four. She's just come back from a healthy holiday retreat in Portugal and I was hugely inspired to hear about it. I'm hoping to book on to the same retreat in August this year. After a lovely tea and a catch up with the children who are thriving and becoming super young adults, I came back home as I still have a slightly sore tummy.
