Blue-tailed Damselfly

My first one of the year. I hope it soon warms up for them.

I haven't tried macro shots with my new lens (Tamron 16-300mm), so this was the first real try. It was blowing a hoolie, so I wasn't expecting much. I'm reasonably impressed. It would havebeen lovely to have the macro lens with me, but I would never have got a decent shot hand held with the blasting breeze.

So for an all purpose lens, which is so much lighter than the macro this works well without a tripod.

I had plenty of choce for macro shots today and have added a couple of extras.
