No, honestly, I don't normally wedge the tuner into the strings when I'm tuning up down (bass player joke). But I only have so many hands...

I'm not allowed to play in the knife box, so I went for the lateral vote. I bassed it [cough] on my Steinberger Electric Upright Bass.
