A tough character

I was standing on the causeway to Friarton Island in Perth, looking for an atmospheric shot in the rain. I saw something swimming in the water towards me, thought for a moment it might be an otter, and then realised it was too small.

Then this fierce character climbed out of the water just a few feet away, gave me a "you looking at me, pal?" stare, and then slipped away. It was a mink.
