Cobbler, cobbler mend my shoe

A visit to Cordes sur ciel, about 1 hour drive from Mazamet.  The town was built between 1222 and 1229 as a bastide, a new town to relocate people who had been displaced by the Albigebsian Crusade (courtesy of Wikepedia).  I'm not sure how old this little shop was as there was no date on the building, but its purpose is evident. The little town is well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.  The walled town has many inhabitants and obviously has enough young families to warrant the building of a new secondary school - extra photo.
