Thrift
An overcast day with stiff breeze.
I woke up this morning to the sad news that Charles Kennedy had died suddenly at the young age of 55. He was probably one of the most liked, even loved, politicians in the UK of the last 30 years or so. People across the political parties and beyond have spoken of his many attributes. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and the wider community across the country, especially here in his homeland, Scotland.
I then had a long session of Children's Hearings, four in all - which is unusual. There was one lovely moment when we decided that two sisters could return home to their father - we were greeted by huge smiles.
Caught up on a bit of tennis and before going out to Church Bible Study managed to blip these lovely little floral balls - called Thrift. Probably we all could do with exercising a bit of thrift instead of always wanting to buy the latest new bit of technology etc.
