Wye 4
This section of the river has magical properties, I'm sure of it. We visited last year (I'll add a blip link here when I find it!) and had an incredible day; we often talk about the utter bizarrness of the low-flying planes and the otherwise complete peace. We had big talks for a proper walk today, but yet again the river sucked us in and we meandered along the banks, exploring the wildlife, bird spotting, and eventually finding the perfect fallen tree trunk to climb on and sunbathe. We were throwing rocks in the river, narrowly avoiding the Wagtails when there was a huge roar and one of the low-flying bombers appeared again! We couldn't believe it; again, it was terrifyingly low and too quick for any pictures. We obviously needed a couple more hours to process the experience so took the opportunity to lounge some more and see who could throw the heaviest rocks or clear the river. It was still so warm when we got home, we sat outside and had a BBQ, kicking the night off with some cards and game of spoons.
