A Glimmer of Sun

We have had rain on and off all day, sometimes heavy. Around midday the sun showed its face for a few minutes. It shone just long enough to light up our flowering cherry tree which, in the last few days has changed colour and is finally dropping its golden leaves.
We are thinking of those folk down south in Dunedin where some parts of the city have been inundated by torrential rains. They will be hoping for fine weather tomorrow.
