A full day

This morning I had my first class with Geeta Iyengar. She is teaching the so-called "Women's Class," but interestingly, men can come. It started off as a much more active class than Prashant's, but she was in a teach-the-teacher mood and stopped several times to draw our attention to different students' issues. At times she asked Abhijata to tell her what she thought was going on, and then Geeta had Abhi make adjustments, etc. It was all very instructive, and Geeta seemed to be in a good mood about being back to teaching.

Later in the day I went back for the open practice session and then stayed to observe the medical class. Everyone has an Rx from Geeta and they go through their poses with the help of the 10 or so assistants running around. People are strapped, weighted, sat on (in at least two cases), and even massaged. I was sorely tempted to lie down on one of the deluxe setups and take a snooze.

This is the coconut vendor who's always outside the Institute ready to help perk us up with fresh coconut water. It helped at noon, but by 8 p.m. I just wanted to come home and shower and rest before going back for the 7 a.m. class tomorrow.
