..slowly growing..

..Nice day today, with odd showers, but not enough to get wet in..

Cleared some beds in the back garden while waiting for a party from the school in KLB, teacher, 4 children, and 2 visitors from Kenya, Jane and Anna. They're over to learn about sustainable crofting/farming methods.

They said my croft was a bit of eye-opener after some that they had visited. Some just have sheep, or cows, but to see one that was actually being used to grow vegetables and fruit was different.

Amazed with the poly-tunnel, crops and temperature! Liked the methods of getting crops started early, to extend the seasons. And liked the rotation being used to provide plants with the correct nutrients, and breaks in pest and disease cycles..

A bit of "afternoon lunch" after they'd gone, and then down to do some hoeing.. Did all of the dark area beyond the Overall Scarecrow, the Salsify and Scorzonera ridges on the right, and the beetroot and parsnip rows to the left of that. Would have done the carrots, but couldn't make out any rows..

Took Tans for her second swim of the day, G took her down (out of the way) while I was talking to the visitors..

A good day forecast for tomorrow, but some rain again on Friday and Saturday. Will try and get some celery plants in tomorrow..

The sky had cleared, but has clouded up again now. Probably missing out on stars again tonight!..
