...........would I go through that field!
They were straight across the footpath at the other end of the field.
If you see my extra photo, you can see the look on the mother's faces!
I just went over the stile to take the photo of the cows, but didn't go more then a yard, as they gave me such a look!
Fortunately I wasn't going to go any further, as I had only stopped the car to take their photo, on my way back from the farm shop, where I had been to buy some meat for a BBQ to night.  Making the most of the good weather! 
Thank you all for your good wishes for our wedding anniversary yesterday.
We had a wonderful evening.
MrC chose well!!!
A place we had been talking about going to for years.
" Kendellsbistro" just off Leeds city centre., near The Yorkshire Playhouse.
It was a true French bistro.
Lovely atmosphere. All fairy lights and candles. Very friendly staff.
One thing I noticed was that, as they do in France, they kept filling up the bread basket. 
K and I had Kir Royal as aperitifs! ( champagne and cassis)  MrC and A had beers. 
Then K and I chose the same for starters and mains:
Salmon Rilettes......Poached salmon, pickled cucumber, and croutons.
Confit De Canard.......Slow cooked duck leg, Duck fat potatoes, vegetables.
I then had the best Tarte Au Citron I have ever had, even in France!
The pastry was so very thin and buttery, and the filling perfect.
K had Sablee Poire Praline.  A stack of Sablee pastry, poached pears, cream, and praline crisp.
A and MrC had French onion soup. Then A had the duck, and MrC Roast leg of lamb. They both had Creme Brulee for pud.
Along with a bottle of white wine and  a red, both from France of course!!
Domaine de Miselle, Cote de Gascoyne.
The white was really good. A mix of Colombard, and Gros Mansengy grapes. One we are going to look out for.Lovely for summer in the garden!

Off to get the BBQ sorted.  Wonder if we have a bottle of wine somewhere?
