Old Temple Kirk

Here lies a farmer from Outerstone , which is nearby . His name was John Craig who died in 1742 and he is shown in his best clothes with his children. His family must have had money back in those days.
Temple's name come from the famous order of the military order of The Knights Templar granted by David the First in 1153 and this was their chief house till 1312.
Nearby is Rosslyn Chapel which also has a connection with the Knights and The Da Vinci Code . Check them out if your in Edinburgh.
