Day Out.............!

This is a rather beautiful archway that frames an equally stunning view at a place near Blessington in Co. Wicklow called Russborough House......
This house was the private home of Lord and Lady Beit for many years and was also the scene of a huge art theft way back in the 1970s.......
A place where you can take so many stunning pictures ...it's difficult to pick one to Blip.....!
My friend and I spent a very relaxing afternoon walking and admiring the scenery and views around this amazing house and working farm.....we walked for me further than I have in a long time ...so tonight I have muscle ache in places where I never knew I had muscles!!
The fresh air did us good and I am so pleased that I can now walk that distance again........!
The grounds now also has a beech hedge Maze.....which of course we had to try....in the centre it has a very high column with a statue of Cupid on top.....well after some fun doubling back on ourselves we found our way to the centre and eventually back to the entrance gate.....
Now for the funny bit.....do you think we could figure out how to open the gate.....no way...!! And much to our embarrassment had to phone up the Reception desk (luckily we had been given a map with phone no. on in case we got lost!!! They very kindly sent someone from Security to let us out.....and it turned out that we hadn't been working the release mechanism on the gate properly....
Oh dear......and the sign said Not To Allow Children in there alone.......haha....but said nothing about Silly Adults...?
