Sand Martins

Out on our travels this afternoon with the other short lady (aka Snapper) we came across a colony of Sand martins. There was so much activity going on it was difficult to catch. The light wasn't good either so this is the best I could manage to try to show the commotion around the nest site.

Snapper meanwhile was using the binoculars to try to direct me to the best action, however as she doesn't know her right from her left this was a futile exercise and there was much grumbling.
