Nearly Porty People and Places

This poster caught my eye as I waited for my case to come off the plane from Lagos, via Amsterdam, at Edinburgh Airport this morning. The under occupancy of the tram that the city never wanted speaks volumes and explains the need for these posters. The queue for the cheaper and faster Airlink bus - needs no such advertisement - especially as it still leaves from the terminal doors!

I noticed some new giant silver letters, spelling out EdINburgh, have been unveiled beside the tram station. I found them when I was looking for the taxis that have now been moved behind the multi storey car park so  that the tourists will be tempted to take the tram when they have given up looking for the taxis assuming that they did not take the bus! (I have put the sign in my extra photo folder as I cannot find any web linked images of the new sign yet)

I had a comfortable night's sleep as I flew north over the Sahara so I was ready for  a series of important work meetings today. 

What happened to the heatwave we were promised in the UK this week?!
