Wapiti
I could have closed my eyes, and dreamed I was rolling across the wild west, perhaps in Montana or Wyoming...and spying a huge elk herd.
The problem? I was driving, and I didn't think it was a good idea to close my eyes.
The herd of elk is in Gaylord, Michigan, in a very large fenced enclosure. We usually stop when we are anywhere close.
I had a picture of an 8-point buck with the velvety Spring antlers, but I kind of liked this cow with her shaggy Spring coat. I tried to get the male to bugle me a tune, but the only sound I heard was from the bag of Bugles I was snacking from.
Our wedding is tomorrow. Since it is on an island (Mackinac), we have to catch a ferry tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. We had the choice for a 40 minute ride, or a 20 minute ride, so we chose the faster one.
Merrick is still not good. You know he is sick when he didn't want to stay in the pool. We usually have to drag him out. Grandma Lisa (a nurse) thinks it is strep throat. Not good.
I took some pictures at the rehearsal tonight, but will wait and post them on Flickr when I get home.
