THE GREAT TRAIN RACE......
...... with our long weekend happening for the Queen's Birthday, it has been a top day for the Transport Heritage NSW group to hold a BIG weekend of Heritage transport activities in Sydney.
One such event is a race between two of the preserved iconic steam trains here in New South Wales. Starting at Central Sydney station they head west at speeds of up to 100 KPH to Strathfield station.
After a bit of "research" (thanks to Trish ) headed into Lewisham Station, and had a prime spot at the end of the platform to catch a few shots as they thundered west.
What a top show, all over in a flash and sure the people on the trains had a terrific experience.
Have put a couple of others in extras.
Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE to smell the smoke......
... and you may recall I had caught the 3624 going through Emu Plains last June ... have a look here!
