Get me to the church on time!!

First wedding display of the year - for a friend's daughter at Wherstead Ipswich. He had arranged it as a surprise for everyone and my job was to bring the yak in on cue. Everybody was amazed and excited at the display and a touching moment was when the bride gave her dad a big hug. The big blue sky and puffy white clouds made an excellent backdrop for the yellow beast!

This was only one display of the day ... the 2nd one was at Capel St Mary fun day (another local one!). This time I had to commentate on the display and our usual 'talk-through-a-lomcevak' went down well. Everything came together well and the act was loved by all ... so much so we got 2 future bookings from members of the public.

The day was rounded off with a flight in the beast! We gave a 'fly-by' to Bob D from Martlesham Control Tower who was having a birthday party in the garden; a low-level buzz along Felixstowe Beach; a buzz over home; and a fly-by for Nigel's sister. Bit of a windy approach back to Elmsett but an acceptable landing (hate coming in on 23!!).

A gorgeous summer aviation filled day. Only thing now is to crack open the cider!!!
