Water, water, everywhere

What a hot day! By 10.00 a.m. It was 31*! I walked up the main area of La Defence to a huge shopping centre - it was nice and cool in there!
Back to the hotel to pack and meet JP who had finished his work. Then we both headed into the city again. We went on a river trip thinking it may feel a tad cooler but it didn't - still lovely though! A short walk around Les Halles where we saw this fountain - I would have loved to have splashed in it a bit it was so hot!
Then back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and got a taxi to the airport. The normal 25 minute trip took 2 hours - sooo much traffic! Fortunately we had guessed that so allowed loads of time. The car thermometer claimed it was 41* at one point but outside thermometeres only hit 36* - so hot, and so grateful for air conditioning.
