HOW MANY KINDS OF SWEET FLOWERS GROW.....
.....in an English country garden?
These are just a few of the flowers growing in this beautiful cottage garden, belonging to friends, which I blipped back on 21st April - and what a difference we saw since then. Most of the flowers are blooming and the perfume as we walked through the garden was amazing - but believe me, it didn't just happen; I know that our friends, and in particular J. work very hard so that it looks like this.
Mr. HCB was helping out by watering some of the pots, and then we went out to lunch, so I don't have to cook.
We decided to drive home on the "back roads" and it makes me realise that we are fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the UK, so although we miss the sea, it was good to see the rolling downs and the Uffington White Horse in an area right on our doorstep.
We have a busy week coming up - cricket for Mr. HCB on Monday and then we are meeting up with relatives of his from America, who have been to Normandy and are staying in Bath for a few nights.
We are having dinner with them on Tuesday evening at Box and then staying over at the same hotel, before we go with them, and some other cousins, on a "whistle-stop" tour of the places where all the relatives lived. Just hope the weather is kind to us.
Have a great week, fellow blippers.

'Oh, how beautiful!'
and sitting in the shade.”
