Katie decided this morning that she wanted to sleep in her own room tonight. I think she's probably slept in this room no more than 3 nights in the two years we lived there. I wasn't sure she'd go through with it- occasionally she says she wants to then usually she changes her mind come bedtime! But here she is, in her haven of handmade pretties and ballerina beautifulness. Above her head are her first ever pair of tiny ballet shoes with a photo of two year old Katie after her first show. To the side is her first pair of competition shoes, on the tulle birthday decoration. Her lights were handmade by a lovely friend of ours. Her name banner was made to match the colours of her quilt. I love her room. Every wall has things as precious and fabulous as that corner.

She had a good day at school- excitement for sports day is building. They are practising hard, it's two weeks away now. They are also hyping the children up for a huge anniversary party in the grounds this Friday.

She did a gorgeous job of her piano this morning. Her teacher had given her a new little piece to do, involving two new notes. She decided she is going to surprise her and do that piece and two more. So she giggles every time she's about to practise them!

Rainbows tonight. They are still working on a colour badge. Tonight was sand art. They made glitter filled bracelets, testtube rainbows and sand pictures with sand they coloured themselves. She had a great time!
