The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Fabrizio Gianni. Google him and you'll find very little.
Today, this stylish septuagenarian, once resident of Rome, Milan, New York, Paris, Tokyo... and now of Falkirk, whose modesty belies his photographic portfolio, gave our open jawed students a very personal and hugely inspiring tour of his exhibition. He recounted stories behind each and every photo of A-list actors, directors, supermodels and revolutionaries on show and freely dispensed tricks of his craft to our group that I'm sure they'll all be talking about for a long time to come.
From being assistant director to Sergio Leone on The Good, the Bad and the Ugly to having his photographs grace the pages and covers of the world's finest fashion magazines the gallery is packed with a selection of images that deserve a much wider audience. It's to the great credit and dedication of the Park Gallery curators that such an impressive exhibition is running throughout the summer, and, if you can, you really should visit. I know I'll be back before it moves on.
I've had worse starts to the week.
