Beneficiary

Today Prashant made a point about benefactors and beneficiaries. In most relationships, we will play both roles, he said. So with our body parts in yoga asana. Sometimes the shoulders help another body part with an action (like shoulders back to broaden the chest); sometimes they receive the benefits from the actions of another body part (like moving the arms in such a way as to assist the shoulders). Etc. With Prashant, there's always a lot of "etc." If we listen a lot during Prashant's classes, that's not to say we don't have a lot of time to apply what we hear. His two-hour class is followed immediately by the three-hour practice session.

Later in the day I went out to eat. Twice! I have been the beneficiary of excellent Indian food, as illustrated by this mango lassi.
