Barton Arcade....

While I'm thinking about impressive glass roofs in Manchester, this is Barton Arcade that links St. Ann's Square to Deansgate. It was built in Victorian times in 1871. It was built as a high class shopping arcade (with offices above) for well to do Victorian shoppers. It's all topped off by this beautiful glass roof. I suppose it's the Victorian great grandfather of the massive Trafford Centre. I travel through here a lot on my rambles through the city and stop off at BarberBarber to have my haircut as it's one if the businesses that thrive here.
